Sinanox® DBHQ Usage

Antioxidant DBHQ is a multi-phenolic antioxidant with dual functions of antioxidant and light stabilizer, capable of absorbing 280-310nm UV light. It has the characteristics of no coloring, low volatility, high temperature resistance and extraction resistance, etc. It is suitable for polyethylene, polypropylene, polyformaldehyde, polyvinyl chloride, polystyrene, polycarbonate and cellulose ester. Especially suitable for latex and adhesive. It is used as an antioxidant for natural rubber and synthetic rubber to delay the thermal and oxygen aging of vulcanized and unvulcanized rubber and to improve heat resistance, oil resistance and flexural properties. It can be used together with DNP as antioxidant, and the synergistic effect is obvious. It is used as antioxidant for biofuel and lubricating grease to improve the temperature resistance of biofuel, prevent high temperature oxidation, interrupt oxidation chain reaction, inhibit alkylation, oxidation, polymerization and decomposition of lubricating grease, and avoid the formation of coke and other gums. It is used in combination with phosphate ester and thioester antioxidants to achieve outstanding antioxidant performance. Used as polymerization inhibitor for butadiene, styrene, vinyl acetate and vinyl resins, good compatibility with polyester resins, does not affect the physical properties of polyester resins. Used in photographic products processing and storage process, inhibit the developer’s oxidation products in the emulsion layer between the diffusion of dyes, photographic properties change to generate gray mist. The general dosage is 0.1-1.0%.
