Antioxidant 300 Application scenarios
1. Polyolefins (especially cross-linked polyethylene)
Wire and cable insulation materials: This is the most important and classic application field of antioxidant 300. When cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) is used for wire and cable insulation, the material needs to undergo high-temperature cross-linking (such as peroxide cross-linking) and operate under high temperatures for a long time. Antioxidant 300 effectively prevents thermal oxidative degradation during processing and use, providing long-term thermal stability, and is not easily extracted by water or solvents, ensuring a service life of several decades for the cable.
High-density polyethylene and polypropylene: Used in products requiring good heat aging resistance, such as pipes and automotive parts.
2. Styrenic polymers
ABS resin: Provides thermal oxidative stability during ABS processing and use, preventing material yellowing and degradation of mechanical properties.
High-impact polystyrene: Improves its thermal stability.
3. Adhesives and sealants
Hot-melt adhesives: Prevents the adhesive from deteriorating due to oxidation during high-temperature melting processing and application.
Elastomeric sealants: Improves their aging resistance.
4. Other polymers and oils
Polyoxymethylene: Used as an auxiliary stabilizer.
Lubricating oils and greases: Used as an antioxidant to prevent oxidation and deterioration of oils at high temperatures.
Rubber: Provides anti-aging protection in some synthetic rubbers.

Long-lasting heat resistance: Especially excellent under high temperature and long-term use conditions.

Extraction resistance: Particularly resistant to extraction by water and various solvents, suitable for harsh environments.
Good synergistic effect with auxiliary antioxidants: Usually compounded with phosphite or phosphate ester auxiliary antioxidants (such as 168) to produce a synergistic effect and provide more comprehensive stabilization protection.
Environmental protection and compliance: Its molecular structure does not contain chlorine or thioether bonds to provide antioxidant performance, meeting the environmental requirements for materials in many fields. It has been included in the permitted list of food contact materials regulations in many countries (such as FDA, EU).
