Adults take 1g each time, the plasma concentration reaches the peak within 2 to 4 hours, and the half-life is 6 to 12 hours. Probenecid is rapidly metabolized in the liver, and the main metabolite is probenecid acetoglucuronic acid. Metabolites are mainly excreted in urine. This product has no anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects, so it is ineffective against acute gout.

Probenecid Usage

1. Treatment of gout, hyperuricemia, 1.25-2.5g per horse, cow, sheep, pig 0.5g, chicken 40mg, cat, dog 60mg, twice daily.

2. To enhance penicillin, cephalosporins efficacy and duration of action, according to 1 part probenecid (calculated as pure product): 3.5 parts of penicillin, cephalosporin ratio compatibility.
