1. Coatings Industry
As a reactive monomer, it is used in the manufacture of thermosetting coatings, UV-cured coatings (such as UV coatings), and water-based coatings. It can crosslink with isocyanates, epoxy resins, etc., imparting excellent adhesion, weather resistance, chemical resistance, and high gloss to the coating.
2. Adhesives and Sealants
As a functional monomer added to formulations, it can significantly improve the bond strength and cohesiveness of adhesives. It is commonly used in the preparation of pressure-sensitive adhesives, building sealants, and textile printing adhesives.
3. Textile Treatment Agents
After copolymerization with other monomers, it is used to treat fibers, improving the water resistance, wrinkle resistance, and solvent resistance of fabrics. It can also be used as a softener or coating.
4. Optical and Electronic Materials
High-purity products are key raw materials for the manufacture of optical films and coating resins, used in applications requiring high light transmittance, high stability, and heat resistance, such as display components.

As a resin crosslinking agent and modifier, it is used to improve the heat resistance, oil resistance, and mechanical properties of plastics (such as acrylic resins) and rubbers (such as acrylic rubber).

Used in the preparation of acrylic emulsions for paper coatings, it can improve the water resistance and strength of paper.

As a reactive diluent in radiation curing systems; used as a lubricant additive; copolymerized with acrylamide as a thickener; in the medical field, it can be used in dental materials and bone cement.
