MMEA Polyurethane Chain Extender and Epoxy Curing Agent
CHLUMICURE® MMEA is 4,4′-methylenebis(2-methyl-6-ethylaniline), an aromatic diamine with CAS number 19900-72-2. It is used as a chain extender for polyurethane elastomers and as a curing agent for epoxy resins. The supplied grade is a light yellow to off-white powder or granules.

애플리케이션
- Polyurethane elastomers: a reactive chain extender for compatible polyurethane prepolymer systems. Evaluate processing conditions and mechanical properties in the intended elastomer formulation.
- Epoxy resins: an amine curing agent for compatible epoxy systems, including formulations developed for composites, adhesives and protective coatings.
- Polyurea resins: a reactive amine component for suitable curing systems. Processing suitability must be established for the selected formulation.
- Organic synthesis: an aromatic diamine intermediate, including precursor applications in polyimide chemistry.
Formulation and Grade Selection
MMEA participates in the polymer-forming reaction; it is not sold here as a photoinitiator or as a polyurethane catalyst. Select it by the complete chemical name and CAS number, because abbreviated amine names can be confused.
Establish resin compatibility, mixing conditions, pot life and cure schedule through formulation testing. The amount required depends on the resin chemistry and the reactive-group equivalents. No universal addition level or room-temperature curing claim is specified for this grade.
Packaging, Storage and Handling
포장: 25 kg paper bag, as listed in the supplied TDS. Confirm available packaging when requesting a quotation.
Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place and protect the packaged material from direct sunlight. Follow the current SDS and package label for protective equipment, safe handling, incompatibilities and transport requirements. Confirm shelf life and retest dates against current supplier documentation.
