TCPP flame retardant Application scenarios
1. Polyurethane Materials
Building insulation rigid foam, flexible foam (e.g., automotive seats, sofas, mattresses), spray foam, adhesives
2. Other Plastics and Resins
Polyvinyl chloride (PVC), epoxy resin, unsaturated polyester, phenolic resin, acrylic resin, polystyrene (PS)
3. Textiles and Coatings
Fabric flame retardant treatment, paints, coatings
4. Special Applications
Can be used as additives for lubricants and gasoline, as well as high-boiling-point solvents in chemical processing
💡 Why TCPP is Widely Used
· Physical Form and Compatibility:
Liquid at room temperature with low viscosity; exhibits excellent compatibility with polyurethane raw materials (polyols), PVC, and other resins, facilitating easy mixing and processing.
· Flame Retardant Mechanism:
As an “additive” flame retardant, it becomes effective upon direct incorporation into materials during processing. Containing both phosphorus and chlorine elements in its molecular structure, it produces a synergistic flame retardant effect with significant efficacy.
·Comprehensive Performance and Cost:
Beyond flame retardancy, TCPP also exhibits plasticizing properties and improves material processability. Additionally, its production technology is mature, and its cost is relatively moderate, offering a favorable balance between effectiveness and price.
