Plasticizers/additives: Enhance rubber flexibility; serve as flame retardants in foams and adhesives.

Nitrocellulose lacquer, roofing paper impregnants, aircraft interior coatings
Flame-retardant solvents/additives: Provide flame retardancy; also function as leveling agents in coatings to improve film properties.
4. Chemical Synthesis
Raw material for manufacturing trimethyl phosphate, intermediate for organophosphorus pesticides (e.g., dichlorvos) and pharmaceuticals
Synthesis precursors/synergists: Serves as a starting material for chemical synthesis. Also functions as an insecticide synergist, reducing pesticide application rates.

Biochemical research tools: Used in laboratories for catalyzing reactions or studying biological effects such as neurotoxicity.
