Added as a light stabilizer and anti-yellowing agent to prevent plastics, rubber, and other polymer materials from aging, becoming brittle, or discoloring under light exposure. It is commonly used in ABS resins, polyesters, polystyrene, PVC (polyvinyl chloride), rubber, and other materials.
