1. Körperpflege und Kosmetika

As a broad-spectrum UV filter, it is widely used in sunscreens and personal care products to protect the skin from UV damage. It is commonly found in sunscreens, sun lotions, lipsticks, face creams, foundations, shampoos, conditioners, and other products.

2. Plastics and Polymer Industry

Added as a light stabilizer and anti-yellowing agent to prevent plastics, rubber, and other polymer materials from aging, becoming brittle, or discoloring under light exposure. It is commonly used in ABS resins, polyesters, polystyrene, PVC (polyvinyl chloride), rubber, and other materials.

3. Textiles and Coating Materials

Used in fabric coatings and finishes to enhance the lightfastness of textiles and coatings (such as varnishes and oil-based paints), preventing fading and degradation.

4. Packaging Materials

Added to the plastic packaging of some food and consumer products to protect the contents (such as food and pharmaceuticals) from deterioration due to UV exposure.

5. Chemical and Laboratory Applications

Used as an intermediate in organic synthesis for the preparation of other chemicals. In laboratories, it is also used as a raw material for synthesizing specific polymer ligands or as an analytical reagent.
