Product Overview
WPU-206 is a soft aliphatic waterborne polyurethane dispersion with 30 ± 1% solids. It is intended for flexible fabric and leather applications where a very soft hand and high extension are primary requirements. The reported 100% modulus is 1.0-1.5 MPa, tensile strength is 4-5 MPa and elongation is at least 1200%. The application profile includes down-proof garment coatings and adhesion to nylon. Crosslinking can be evaluated to improve fastness, although it may change the coating hand. Even when the dried film offers hydrolysis resistance, the stored dispersion requires controlled inventory turnover and appropriate temperature protection.

Formulation and Handling
If a crosslinker is used, assess both fastness and changes in coating hand. A use-within-24-hours recommendation applies to the described crosslinked preparation, but the selected crosslinker's actual pot life must be confirmed and may be shorter. Use fresh stock promptly rather than relying on prolonged storage.
- Crosslinking can alter softness and must be evaluated in the complete formulation.
- The 24-hour processing recommendation is not a universal pot-life guarantee for all crosslinkers.
- Hydrolysis resistance of the dried film does not eliminate ageing of the stored dispersion.
Check binder compatibility, substrate preparation, application conditions and final coating or bond performance in your own formulation. Waterborne use does not by itself establish solvent-free status or a hazard classification. Consult the current safety data sheet and use appropriate industrial handling controls.

Store at 5-30 °C and protect from freezing, high temperatures and direct sunlight. The stated storage period is 6-12 months; confirm the batch-specific shelf life. The dispersion may undergo gradual hydrolysis during storage, so prompt use is recommended.
