Product Overview
CHLUMICRYL® WSI-6505 is a waterborne modified inorganic silicon-based binder for protective surface treatments. The grade is designed for one-component, air-drying systems and can be evaluated in coatings or bonding formulations for ceramic and glass surfaces, as well as protectants for hardened floors and terrazzo. Other listed application areas include bathroom fixtures and tunnel coatings. The resin is positioned for hardness, toughness, gloss and stain resistance. Although several substrate types are listed, each surface preparation and coating combination requires adhesion testing. The reported hardness is a screening reference, not a guarantee that every substrate or drying condition will produce the same result.

Formulation and Handling
Qualify adhesion on the actual glass, ceramic, metal, plastic, wood or mineral surface.
Verify drying, hardness and resistance properties in the finished formulation.
Review the current SDS before handling.
- This is a modified inorganic coating resin, not a liquid silicone rubber.
- The 5H value does not establish a universal hardness rating for all finished coatings.
Check binder compatibility, substrate preparation, application conditions and final coating or bond performance in your own formulation. Waterborne use does not by itself establish solvent-free status or a hazard classification. Consult the current safety data sheet and use appropriate industrial handling controls.

Store at 5-35 °C in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place. Protect from freezing and sunlight. Stated storage period: 12 months.
