Product Overview
CHLUMICRYL® WPU-X81 is a waterborne self-matting binder for surface treatments requiring a medium-soft film and controlled gloss. It is suitable for evaluating leather finishing blends, including microfiber and PU leather systems, as well as paper inks and textile coatings. Its stated viscosity is 100-300 mPa·s at 25 °C, and its pH range is 6.0-8.0. Stirring and filtration are part of the recommended preparation procedure. Assess the complete formulation for black appearance, compatibility, adhesion and touch. Any elevated-temperature process must be validated for the intended exposure time and substrate rather than treated as a general thermal rating.

Formulation and Handling
Stir thoroughly before use and filter through a 150-mesh screen.
Check compatibility and performance before adding auxiliaries or colorants.
Qualify thermal processing on the complete coating and substrate.
- Water is the listed dispersion medium; confirm the complete carrier composition against the current specification and SDS.
- No continuous service-temperature rating is specified.
Check binder compatibility, substrate preparation, application conditions and final coating or bond performance in your own formulation. Waterborne use does not by itself establish solvent-free status or a hazard classification. Consult the current safety data sheet and use appropriate industrial handling controls.

Store at 5-30 °C in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place. Protect from freezing, excessive heat and direct sunlight. Stated shelf life: 6 months.
