DBTDAis a colorless toyellow liquid, low-temperature white crystals. DBTDAsoluble in the most common ,such as benzene, toluene, ethanol, acetone, ethyl acetate, chloroform, carbon tetrachloride, benzene, ethanol, petroleum ether and other solvents and various industrial plasticizers, DBTDAis insoluble in water.

DBTDAused as a catalyst in thevulcanizing cure of silicones at room temperatures. Especilally suitable for acetoxy sealant; Has higher catalysis speed than dibutyltindilaurate.Normally the mixed ratio is DBTDA:DBTDL=1:9 to 2:8; also as catalyst of polyurethane coating.
