🔬 Core Properties and Usage Notes
作用机制
It functions as a Class II (hydrogen-scavenging) photoinitiator. It cannot directly generate active radicals on its own. Instead, it must undergo a hydrogen-scavenging reaction in the presence of co-initiators like tertiary amines to produce radicals, thereby initiating the polymerization of unsaturated resins such as acrylic esters. Research also indicates it can effectively initiate cationic polymerization when combined with iodonium salts, thionium salts, etc.
光吸收特性
Its peak absorption wavelength lies in the long-wave UV region (~385 nm), with good response to certain visible light sources (e.g., 405 nm, 420 nm LEDs). This enables its use in UV and select visible light curing systems, offering strong penetration.
Application Advantages:
Due to its molecular structure, DETX exhibits superior curing performance in colored systems (especially white coatings) and thicker films, effectively reducing yellowing. This makes it a preferred choice in scenarios demanding specific color stability and film thickness.
