1. Polymer Composite Reinforcement Agent
This is its most core application. It is added to composite materials composed of resins such as phenolic, polyester, epoxy, polyamide (nylon), and polycarbonate, along with mineral fillers (such as glass fibers and silica powder). Its main functions are:
• Improving mechanical properties: Significantly increasing the dry/wet flexural strength, compressive strength, and shear strength of the composite material.
• Improving electrical properties: Maintaining good electrical insulation properties, especially in humid environments.
• Optimizing processability: Improving the wettability and dispersion of inorganic fillers in polymers.
2. Adhesion Promoter for Adhesives and Sealants
As an additive, it is used in polyurethane, epoxy, acrylic, nitrile, phenolic, and other types of adhesives and sealants. Its main functions are:
• Enhancing adhesion: Significantly improving the adhesion to substrates such as glass, aluminum, and steel.
• Improving internal properties: Aiding in the dispersion of pigments or fillers.
3. Additive for the Coatings Industry
Suitable for polyurethane, epoxy, and acrylic latex coating systems. Its function is to improve the adhesion of coatings to the aforementioned metal and glass substrates, and to enhance the water resistance and durability of the coating film.
4. Treatment Agent for Foundry and Refractory Materials
• Resin sand casting: When added, it enhances the adhesion between the resin and silica sand, improving the strength and moisture resistance of the molding sand.
• Glass fiber/mineral wool production: Added to phenolic binders, it improves the moisture resistance and compression resilience of the final product.
5. Raw Material for the Synthesis of Amino Silicone Oils and Emulsions
The amino group in its molecule is an important reactive group for the synthesis of amino silicone oils. These silicone oils are widely used in the textile, daily chemical, and other industries as softeners, lubricants, etc.
