D6 is a synthetic magnesium hydroxide grade described as an ultrafine powder with hexagonal platelet morphology. It is intended for flame-retardant and smoke-suppression formulation development.

Formulation and Qualification Notes
D6 should be qualified as its own grade rather than assumed interchangeable with D5. Evaluate dispersion, processing behavior, mechanical properties and the required fire performance in the actual formulation.
