Sulfamoylbenzoic acid Application scenarios

1. Pharmaceutical Intermediates
Used in the synthesis of anticonvulsants and carbonic anhydrase inhibitors.

This is its most defined and primary application. Carbonic anhydrase inhibitors are a class of drugs used to treat diseases such as glaucoma and epilepsy.

2. Organic Synthesis
As a general organic synthesis intermediate and reagent, it is used in drug development and synthesis.

Utilizing the carboxyl and sulfonamide groups in its molecules, more complex drug molecules or other functional compounds can be constructed.

Description

The other name of Carzenide:

Sulfamoylbenzoic aicd; p-Carboxybenzenesulfonamide; 4-Sulfamidobenzoic acid; 4-Aminosulfonylbenzoic acid; p-Sulfonamide benzoic acid.

Carzenide synthesis method

1. It is derived from p-toluenesulfonamide oxidation by potassium dichromate.

2. Another oxidation operation is to react p-toluenesulfonamide with potassium permanganate.

Carzenide Use

1. Carzenide is used as an intermediate in organic synthesis or in drug synthesis.

2. Carzenide is used as probenecid intermediates.
