Isothiazolinones Application scenarios

1. Industrial Water Treatment

Used in industrial cooling water, circulating water, oilfield reinjection water, and thermal power plant systems for sterilization, algae removal, and removal of biological slime, preventing corrosion and blockage of pipes and equipment.

2. Daily Chemicals and Personal Care Products

Added as a preservative to shampoos, conditioners, shower gels, creams, lotions, and other cosmetics and detergents to prevent product spoilage.

3. Coatings, Paints, and Polymer Materials
Added to water-based coatings, paints, latex paints, and polymer emulsions (such as acrylic resins) to prevent in-can spoilage and mold growth on the coating.

4. Paper Industry
Used as a preservative in papermaking process water, coatings, and starch slurries to prevent microbial decomposition of raw materials and paper breakage.

5. Metalworking and Industrial Cleaning
Added to cutting fluids, grinding fluids, quenching fluids, and industrial cleaning agents to extend the service life of the working fluid and prevent odor and spoilage.

6. Textiles and Leather
Used as an antifungal agent in textile sizing agents and leather treatment agents to prevent products from becoming moldy in humid environments.

7. Oils and Fuels
Used in oil refineries as a bactericide for fuels and oils.

8. Other Industrial Applications
Also used for corrosion and mold prevention in pesticides, inks, dyes, photographic films, rubber, and other products.

What is CMIT-MIT?

CMIT-MIT is a water treatment agent with excellent performance and good miscibility. It can be miscible with various corrosion inhibitors such as chlorine, scale inhibitors and dispersants, most of anionic, cationic and non-ionic surfactants, and is circulated in the market The product is usually a mixture of 5-chloro-2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one (CMI) and 2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one (MI), but also Metal nitrite or metal nitrate is added to improve stability and prevent decomposition. The mechanism of action of isothiazolinone is to break the bond between bacteria and algae protein to kill. After contact with microorganisms, it can quickly and irreversibly inhibit Its growth leads to the death of microbial cells, and has a strong inhibitory and killing effect on common bacteria (sulfate reducing bacteria, sludge forming bacteria), fungi (iron oxidizing bacteria, molds, yeasts), algae, etc.

CMIT-MIT Usage

1. CMIT-MIT is used to treat industrial circulating water, which has the effect of sterilization and algae killing.

2. CMIT-MIT is a general antiseptic and antiseptic, which can effectively kill algae, bacteria and fungi.

3. CMIT-MIT can be widely used in industrial cooling water, oil field tank water, paper industry, pipeline, paint, paint, rubber, cosmetics, photosensitive film and detergent industries.

4. The effective dosage of CMIT-MIT is small, non-toxic and non-polluting. It is easy to mix in various formulations. The pH range is wide. After the concentration is diluted, it is easily biodegraded into non-toxic and non-polluting substances.
