Description
Product Overview
WPU-6120 is a waterborne polyurethane binder for coated garment fabrics, printing varnishes and PVC reverse-printing laminating inks. The grade has a smooth, glossy film profile, with reported tensile strength of at least 35 MPa and elongation at break of at least 500%. Fast drying and redissolution are formulation characteristics to evaluate under the intended printing conditions. Heat-lamination development can use the stated 150-180 °C process range as a trial reference, while the current grade-specific solids and viscosity specifications should be confirmed before formulation scale-up.
Grade Characteristics
- Smooth, glossy coating film
- Flexibility with a water-resistance-oriented profile
- Fast-drying and redissolution characteristics for printing development

Formulation and Handling
Confirm the current grade-specific solids and viscosity specifications before calculating formulation water balance, application coat weight or processing settings.
Evaluate heat lamination around the stated 150-180 °C process reference and validate dwell time and adhesion. Any crosslinker requires confirmed dosage, compatibility and pot life; do not mix indiscriminately with chemically different adhesives.
- Confirm the current grade-specific solids and viscosity specifications with the supplied material before scale-up.
- Drying speed and lamination performance depend on formulation, film thickness and processing conditions.
Check binder compatibility, substrate preparation, application conditions and final coating or bond performance in your own formulation. Waterborne use does not by itself establish solvent-free status or a hazard classification. Consult the current safety data sheet and use appropriate industrial handling controls.
Packaging and Storage
50 kg or 120 kg plastic drums.
Store at 5-30 °C in a cool, dry, ventilated place. Protect from freezing and direct light. Stated storage period: 12 months.
