What is Cellulase?

Cellulase is a high-yielding strain screened by Trichoderma Reesi mutagenesis, refined and extracted by liquid deep-layer aeration fermentation. The product is widely used in feed, textile, fuel ethanol, alcohol, Chinese medicine extraction, food, juice processing and other industries.

The principle of cellulase

Cellulase refers to a group of enzymes that can synergistically act on cellulose β-1,4 glucoside bonds to degrade cellulose into short fibers, cellobiose and glucose. Including endo-β-glucanase (EG) that can cut the β-1,4 glycosidic bond in cellulose molecules at will; cut the β-1,4 glycosidic bond from the non-reducing end to form the exo-β of cellobiose -Glucanase (CBH); β-glucosidase (BG) that breaks down cellobiose into glucose.

Product characteristics of cellulase

1. Temperature range: The effective temperature range is 30-75℃, and the optimum temperature range is 55-60℃.
2. pH range: effective pH range 4.3-6.0, optimum pH range 4.5-5.0.
3. The effect of metal ions and non-ionic surfactants on enzyme activity: Na+, Cu”Cd\Mn, Zn² have an activating effect on cellulase; Fe” and Fe” have an obvious inhibitory effect on cellulase activity; Ionic surfactants (triethanolamine, AEO-3, NP(TX)-10, JFC, penetrant fast T, Ping Ping 0, etc.) promote the diffusion and penetration of enzyme molecules and increase enzyme activity.

Product properties of cellulase

1. Product specifications: liquid enzyme is brown liquid, 100,000 and 200,000 u/mL; solid enzyme is off-white powder 40,000, 100,000, 200,000 u/g; food-grade solid enzyme activity is 40,000 u/g.

2. Liquid enzyme pH (25°C): 4.0-7.0, bulk density: ≤1.25g/mL; solid enzyme fineness (0.4mm standard sieve pass rate): 280%.

3. Definition of enzyme activity (CMCA): Ig solid enzyme (or 1mL liquid enzyme), hydrolyze sodium methylcellulose substrate at 50℃ and pH4.8 for 1h to produce reducing sugar equivalent to 1mg glucose , Is an enzyme activity unit, expressed in u/g (or u/mL).
Product standard: implement China’s light industry standard QB 2583-2003.

Cellulase Usage

1. Among the feed compound enzymes, cellulase can increase the digestibility of feed, significantly increase the weight gain, milk production and egg production of poultry and livestock, and improve disease resistance and adaptability to the environment. The recommended dosage is 0.03-0.1kg/t raw material (calculated in 100,000 units).

2. In the textile industry, this enzyme is used for the finishing of silk/linen knitted fabrics, which can hydrolyze the surface hairiness to remove the fabric irritation without damaging the silk; it is also suitable for light color, fast blooming, and back dyeing requirements The low denim fabric makes the fabric have good softness and drape, permanent anti-pilling and anti-pilling effect. The recommended addition amount as the starting point of the small experiment (in 100,000 units): 0.5-2.0% (owf), pH 4.5-5.5, temperature 45-55°C, bath ratio 1:10-25, treatment for 30-60 minutes .

3. In the production of liquor or cassava alcohol produced by solid-state fermentation, the enzyme can explain cellulose as sugar, promote the release of cell contents, and increase the rate of wine production. The recommended amount (enzyme activity is 100,000 units) It is 0.15-0.25kg/t raw material. Added during fermentation or saccharification.

4. In the extraction of active ingredients of traditional Chinese medicine, the enzyme can destroy the dense structure of the cell wall, accelerate the dissolution of active ingredients, and improve the extraction rate of active ingredients. The recommended addition amount is 0.05-0.2kg/t raw material (enzyme activity is calculated in 100,000 units), pH 4.5-5.5, temperature 40-50°C, soak for 60-120 minutes. For best results, it is recommended to use it with pectinase.

5. Cellulase can increase the juice yield of fruit juices, soften plant tissues such as swollen fruits and vegetables, and promote soybean peeling, so it can also be used in the above industries. As the starting point of the small experiment, the recommended addition amount is 0.05-0.4L/t fruit pulp (enzyme activity is 100,000 units), and it is maintained for 1-5 hours under suitable temperature and pH conditions.

Dosage:The recommended dosage is 0.1-3kg /t DS. The dosage has to be optimized based on each application, the raw material specifications, product expectation and processing parameters. It is better to begin the test with the convenient volume.

Attention!

Enzyme preparations are proteins that may induce sensitization and cause allergic type of symptoms in susceptible individuals.Prolonged contact may cause minor irritation for skin, eyes or nasal mucosa. Any direct contact with human body should be avoided. If irritation or allergic response for skin or eyes develops, please consult a doctor.

This product is a biologically active substance, high temperature, strong acid, strong alkali will cause enzyme inactivation. Therefore, during transportation and storage, liquid enzymes should be protected from sunlight, and solid enzymes should be protected from sunlight and rain. The warehouse should be kept clean, cool and dry.
