Product Description
Beta-mannanase is produced from selected high-quality strains such as Bacillus species through submerged liquid fermentation, extraction and purification. It is a class of endo-hemicellulases capable of hydrolyzing beta-1,4-D-mannosidic bonds. Its principal substrates are galactomannans, glucomannans and mannans, and its main products are mannooligosaccharides together with small amounts of mannose. Beta-mannanase is available in acidic and neutral types and is widely used in animal feed, health foods, textiles, detergents and related industries.
Application Information
Acidic beta-mannanase is used in the animal feed industry. Adding the enzyme to feed can eliminate the anti-nutritional effects of beta-mannan, improve animal growth efficiency and feed utilization, and enhance immune function. Neutral beta-mannanase can be used in the production of mannooligosaccharides, ramie degumming and the detergent industry. In ramie degumming, it can be combined with pectinase and xylanase to degum ramie and other raw bast fibers. In detergents, granulated beta-mannanase can be added to laundry powders, detergents and other cleaning products to substantially improve stain removal, especially for stains containing mannan, such as chocolate, ice cream and barbecue sauce.
