Product Description
Lactase, also known as beta-galactosidase, is produced from selected high-quality strains such as Aspergillus oryzae through fermentation, extraction, purification and formulation. Lactase is an important glycoside hydrolase that can hydrolyze the beta-galactosidic bond in lactose molecules to produce galactose and glucose, or produce functional galactooligosaccharides through transglycosylation. Lactase is widely used in food, pharmaceutical, animal feed and environmental engineering applications.
Application Information
In the food industry, lactase is mainly used in the production of low-lactose or lactose-free dairy products. It may also be used as a dietary supplement to relieve symptoms of lactose intolerance in some people. In the pharmaceutical field, lactase may be used together with montmorillonite powder in the treatment of intestinal flora imbalance caused by viral or bacterial infection in infants and young children, helping to relieve diarrhea and secondary lactose intolerance. In the animal feed industry, lactase is used in livestock and poultry feed to help improve animals' digestion and absorption of lactose, promote weight gain and improve physical health. In environmental engineering, lactase can be used to treat industrial wastewater containing lactose by effectively breaking down the lactose and reducing negative environmental impacts.
