1. Photocurable Materials and Coatings/Inks/Adhesives
• Synthesis of UV photoinitiators such as α-hydroxyketones and benzoin ketals (e.g., TPO, 1173), which are key raw materials for UV-curable coatings, UV inks, UV adhesives, 3D printing resins, and photoresists, enabling rapid curing, high hardness, and weather resistance.
• Downstream applications cover wood/metal/plastic coatings, printing plate making, electronic packaging, and composite material molding.
2. Organic Synthesis and Pharmaceutical/Pesticide Intermediates
• Preparation of mesitoates, amides, and ketones, used in the synthesis of antibiotics, antihistamines, fungicides, fluorescent dyes, etc.; also used as structural units and modifying reagents for drug molecules.
• Hydroxyl protection:
Reacts with alcohols/phenols in the presence of bases such as pyridine to form mesitoates, used for selective protection and deprotection strategies of polyfunctional molecules.
3. Plastic and Ink Additives
• Used as intermediates for light/heat stabilizers, antioxidants, or crosslinking agents to modify plastics, inks, and masterbatches, improving the weather resistance and mechanical properties of the products; can also be used directly as functional additives to improve compatibility and dispersibility.
