Product Overview
CHLUMICRYL® WPU-5140 is a film-forming binder for glossy finishes where a medium-hard surface is preferred. Its mechanical profile includes a 100% modulus of 4-6 MPa, tensile strength at break of at least 40 MPa and elongation at break of at least 700%. The resin is suitable for screening in metal, plastic and glass coatings, as well as natural and synthetic leather finishes. A compatible curing agent may be considered when additional water resistance is needed. Establish substrate preparation, film thickness, cure conditions and a defined alcohol-rub method before setting finished-coating performance targets.

Formulation and Handling
For greater water resistance, screen a compatible curing agent at an indicative trial range of approximately 1-5%; confirm the dosage basis and selected agent.
Mix the validated two-component system thoroughly and establish its usable pot life.
- Alcohol-rub performance depends on concentration, load, curing and method; no unconditional cycle-count guarantee is offered.
- Agree the solids-content tolerance basis and test method for commercial supply.
Check binder compatibility, substrate preparation, application conditions and final coating or bond performance in your own formulation. Waterborne use does not by itself establish solvent-free status or a hazard classification. Consult the current safety data sheet and use appropriate industrial handling controls.

50 kg plastic drums or IBC totes.
Store at 5-30 °C in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place. Protect from freezing and light. Stated shelf life: 12 months under these conditions.
