Product Description
Neutral cellulase is a cellulase preparation produced from selected high-quality strains such as Trichoderma species through submerged liquid fermentation, extraction and purification. Like acidic cellulase, it is a multi-enzyme system dominated by endoglucanase. It acts mainly on the amorphous regions of cellulose and hydrolyzes beta-1,4-glucosidic bonds under neutral conditions. Neutral cellulase is used mainly in the textile industry, particularly for the biopolishing of cotton and cotton-blended fabrics and the enzymatic washing and finishing of denim.
Application Information
In the textile industry, neutral cellulase can be used for the aged look finishing of denim garments as an alternative to conventional stone washing. Enzymatic washing offers good processing quality, high production efficiency, lower environmental pollution, flexible processing and reduced equipment wear. Neutral cellulase is also used for the biopolishing of cellulosic fabrics, removing surface fuzz to produce a clean fabric surface, reducing pilling and leaving the fabric soft and full.
