1. Industrial Solvent
Dissolves resins, oils, dyes, cellulose acetate, etc. Excellent solubility; miscible with water and many organic solvents.
2. Organic Synthesis Intermediate
Used in the preparation of succinic acid, pentanediol, tetrahydrofuran, pyran, lysine, polyamide plastics, plasticizers, etc.
