Antioxidant PDOP Application scenarios
1. Synergistic Antioxidant
As a “co-antioxidant,” it is often used in combination with phenolic “primary antioxidants” (such as BHT, 1010) to block the oxidation chain reaction by decomposing hydroperoxides, achieving a 1+1>2 effect.
2. Metal Ion Chelation
In materials such as PVC, it can bind metal ions (such as iron and copper) from catalysts or the environment, preventing them from catalyzing resin decomposition and discoloration.
3. Discoloration Inhibition
It effectively prevents yellowing or discoloration of polymers due to heat and oxygen during processing or use, which is crucial for transparent and light-colored products.

• Dosage: Typical dosage is usually between 0.1% and 0.5%, and needs to be adjusted according to the resin system, formulation, and process.
• Low Toxicity Advantage: Its low toxicity makes it one of the preferred stabilizers in food contact materials and medical plastic products (such as medical devices).
• Physical properties: It is a colorless and transparent liquid at room temperature, readily soluble in most organic solvents, and easy to mix and disperse during compounding and processing.
