Product Overview
CHLUMICRYL® WPU-X51 is an anionic self-matting polyurethane dispersion designed for low-gloss surface treatments. Silicone modification and a polyester-based polyurethane structure support a medium-soft film with a full, smooth tactile effect. Target applications include leather finishing, paper inks and textile coatings, including blends for microfiber, PU, PVC and calendered leather substrates. Its stated solids content is 30 ± 1%, with viscosity of 100-300 mPa·s at 25 °C. The medium explicitly includes NMP, which must be considered in formulation, exposure control and end-use requirements. Confirm additive compatibility and the intended thermal processing conditions before production.

Formulation and Handling
Stir thoroughly before use and filter through a 150-mesh screen.
Test compatibility and performance before adding auxiliaries or colorants.
Consult the current SDS and evaluate exposure controls and end-use restrictions for NMP-containing formulations.
- Contains NMP; do not treat this grade as solvent-free or NMP-free.
- High-temperature processing requires validation of the actual temperature, time, substrate and formulation; no continuous-use thermal rating is specified.
Check binder compatibility, substrate preparation, application conditions and final coating or bond performance in your own formulation. Waterborne use does not by itself establish solvent-free status or a hazard classification. Consult the current safety data sheet and use appropriate industrial handling controls.
Emballage et stockage
50 kg or 120 kg plastic drums.
Store at 5-30 °C in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place. Protect from freezing, excessive heat and direct sunlight. Stated shelf life: 6 months.
