Description
D103.5 is a mineral-derived magnesium hydroxide grade in the D100 series for flame-retardant and smoke-suppression compound development. Its reported D50 particle-size range is 2.5–4.5 µm.
Applications
- Flame-retardant compound development in PVC, EVA, PE and PP.
- Filler evaluation in thermoplastic and thermosetting resin formulations.
- Elastomer and coating formulations requiring mineral flame-retardant evaluation.

Formulation and Qualification Notes
The MgO mass-fraction value is not magnesium hydroxide purity. Compare this grade’s particle-size range with D102.5 during formulation screening; grade selection should be based on the actual compound and processing conditions.
The values shown are reference data for grade selection, not a finished-product performance guarantee. Confirm the current TDS, SDS and batch COA before qualification. Select the addition level through formulation trials and evaluate dispersion, processing and the required end-use properties.
