2-Ethyl anthraquinone Usage

1. Hydrogenation in a solvent produces 2-ethylhydroanthraquinone, and re-oxidation produces 2-ethylanthraquinone and hydrogen peroxide. This reaction is industrially used to produce hydrogen peroxide.

2. It can be prepared from phthalic anhydride and ethylbenzene through F-K reaction, and can also be synthesized from 1,4-naphthoquinone and 2-ethyl-1,3-butadiene through Diels-Alder diene And dehydrogenation reaction system.

3. Used to make hydrogen peroxide and as a dye intermediate. It is also used as a sensitizer for photosensitive resin, photocurable resin catalyst, photodegradable film, paint and photopolymerization initiator.
