1. Electrochemistry
As a pure ionic liquid electrolyte for iron-ion rechargeable batteries.
The battery uses iron as the positive electrode and graphite as the negative electrode, featuring high safety and near-non-volatile properties.
2. Catalysis
· Michael addition reaction: Highly efficient catalysis of the reaction between β-keto esters and enones under solvent-free conditions, especially suitable for microwave conditions.
· Cross-coupling reaction: As an iron-based catalyst, it can suppress side reactions and is used for reactions involving halogenated hydrocarbons with specific structures.
The catalyst is recyclable and has a fast reaction rate.
3. Materials Science
As a functional additive, it is used in the preparation of epoxy resin materials.
It is usually first loaded onto carbon nanotubes and then mixed with epoxy resin to improve material properties.
4. Gas Absorption and Separation
· Ammonia removal (NH₃): Directly used to absorb ammonia from industrial waste gases; the absorbent is regenerable and recyclable.
· Oxidative absorption of hydrogen sulfide (H₂S): Mixed with other ionic liquids, it is used for the catalytic oxidative removal of hydrogen sulfide. This compound can reduce usage costs in mixed systems, representing a green removal process.
5. Magnetic Fluids
As a room-temperature magnetic ionic liquid, it can directly respond to magnetic fields.
Its magnetic response behavior is influenced by factors such as density, viscosity, and surface tension, and it can be used to develop novel magnetic fluids.
