Cocoamine Application scenarios
1. Surfactant Raw Materials and Daily Chemical Additives:
As an intermediate in the synthesis of cationic/amphoteric surfactants (such as cocamidopropyl betaine), used in fabric softeners, antistatic agents, hair conditioners, and shampoos; it can also be used directly or derived as an active ingredient in detergents and disinfectants.
2. Mineral Flotation (Cationic Collector):
In the beneficiation of non-ferrous metals such as copper, lead, and zinc, and non-metallic minerals (such as feldspar and quartz), it selectively adsorbs onto the mineral surface, causing it to float hydrophobically, achieving separation of minerals from gangue, and improving recovery rate and grade.
3. Asphalt Emulsifier:
Derived into quaternary ammonium salts, etc., it is used as a road asphalt emulsifier to prepare cationic asphalt emulsions, facilitating cold mixing and slurry sealing, and improving workability and adhesion.
4. Pesticide/Agrochemical Auxiliaries:
Used as emulsifiers, dispersants, wetting agents, and spreading agents in emulsifiable concentrates and suspensions to improve pesticide stability, wetting, spreading, and penetration, thereby enhancing efficacy.
5. Textile Printing and Dyeing Auxiliaries:
Used as softeners, antistatic agents, and dyeing auxiliaries in fabric finishing to improve hand feel, reduce static electricity, and improve dyeing uniformity; also used in fiber oil formulations.
6. Water Treatment and Corrosion/Rust Prevention:
Used as corrosion inhibitors and bactericides/algaecides in industrial circulating water and cooling water treatment; also used as rust/corrosion inhibitors in metalworking fluids and lubricants, forming a protective film on metal surfaces to inhibit oxidation and corrosion.
7. Coating/Ink/Pigment Auxiliaries:
Used as dispersants, wetting agents, and anti-settling agents to improve pigment dispersion stability, leveling, and hiding power; also possesses certain anti-corrosion properties, improving coating water resistance and adhesion.
8. Resin and Polymer Modification:
It participates in the synthesis or crosslinking of epoxy resins, phenolic resins, etc., to improve adhesion, water resistance, and mechanical properties; it is also used as an antistatic agent and mold release agent in plastic processing.
