Fluorescein Sodium Salt Usage

1. Fluorescein sodium is a diagnostic drug for fundus angiography, which does not stain normal cornea and other epithelium, but stains damaged corneal epithelium green, thus revealing corneal damage, ulcers, and other lesions. Clinical studies have found that the rate of lesions examined using sodium fluorescein fundus angiography is 93.7%, while the rate of lesions diagnosed using conventional examination methods is 66.7%. Sodium fluorescein fundus angiography has a very high resolution and can clearly show the new capillaries and capillary non-perfusion areas in the fundus of diabetic retinopathy, which is of great significance for clinical targeted treatment.

2. Sodium fluorescein fundus angiography has the characteristics of high specificity and high sensitivity, and can clearly show microvascular tumors and small microhemorrhages that cannot be detected by conventional examination, greatly reducing the rate of leakage, improving the diagnosis of diabetic retinopathy, and accurately staging diabetic retinopathy, thus guiding clinical treatment.
