Description
Nucleating agent P-23 is a compound nucleating agent that accelerates the crystallization of polymers. It is suitable for polyester (PET, PBT) and also for nylon (PA6, PA66, PA11, PA12, copolymer PA). When P-23 is added to the polymer melt, it is easily dispersed into very fine particles, which then play a very effective nucleation role and form a fine crystal structure.
Lcflex® P-23 Usage
It has the following advantages in injection molding processing:
◆Shorten molding cycle and improve productivity.
◆Improve demolding.
◆Improve the dimensional stability of products.
Reduce post-shrinkage of products.
◆Preventing stress cracking of products.
Improve mechanical properties (increase tensile strength and hardness).
◆Improve surface gloss.
These improved properties are not only present in unreinforced materials, but are also effective in reinforced materials, and are particularly suitable for glass fiber reinforced materials. The reason for these effects is its ability to form a more detailed and uniform crystal structure in the nylon matrix compared to glass fibers.
Usage:
The optimum addition of nucleating agent P-23 is about 0.2-0.5%, depending on the type of polymer and the properties that the final product is intended to achieve. It can be added directly or used as masterbatch.
Packaging:
The product is packed in paper bags with a net weight of 25 kg per bag.
