Fenolftale\u00efne gebruik<\/strong><\/h2>\n

1. Fenolftale\u00efne is een zwak organisch zuur. Het zijn witte of lichtgele fijne kristallen bij kamertemperatuur. Het is geur- en smaakloos. Het is nauwelijks oplosbaar in water maar gemakkelijk oplosbaar in alcohol (ethanol) en ether. Opgelost in alcoholoplossing om zuur-base-indicator te maken, is het kleurloos in zure oplossing, rood in loog of alkalimetaalcarbonaatoplossing, maar als het in geconcentreerde alkali-oplossing is, zal het kleurloze trimetaal genereren Het zout, het rood vervaagde.
