3071 is suitable for a first wetting screen when a clean, prepared appliance substrate still shows retraction, dry spots, or cratering linked to insufficient surface coverage. Confirm pretreatment, surface energy, cleaning residues, bath carryover, and compressed air before changing the formula.<\/p>\n

Use a blank plus a short ladder inside 0.1\u20131%. The product can stabilize foam in water-based systems, so measure agitation and spray foam, microbubbles, pinholes, craters, color, metallic orientation, flash, clearcoat wetting, and intercoat adhesion. Do not approve wetting alone.<\/p>\n

Use 3467 when compatibility and flow are limiting<\/h2>\n

3467 is a compatibility-prioritized modified polysiloxane with water-based applicability. It should enter after substrate wetting and air release are understood, when the remaining issue is surface flow, cratering sensitivity, or compatibility.<\/p>\n

Use DF-D9904BR when retained air is the failure<\/h2>\n

DF-D9904BR is the documented water-based defoamer route. Its 0.1\u20131% range is paired with a high-shear incorporation requirement, normally at the grind. Make comparison batches with the same blade, tip speed, time, temperature, order, and hold period.<\/p>\n

Measure foam generation and decay, wet-film microbubbles, cured pinholes, craters, color, gloss, storage stability, and spray response. A defoamer result is incomplete until the clearcoat and final cured system pass.<\/p>\n
