1. Dioctadecyl dimethyl ammoniumchloride kan worden toegepast als ontsmettingsmiddel, bactericide, antiseptisch, antistatische agent, emulgator, dispergeermiddel, vlokmiddel, ontgeurder.
2. Het kan worden gebruikt als wasverzachter, asfaltemulgator, organische bentoniet bedekkende agent, en ook gebruikt als hulp voor drie keer olieterugwinning.
