In liquid detergents (such as laundry detergent, hand soap, and dishwashing liquid), it mainly acts as a solubilizer and water-soluble enhancer. It effectively reduces the viscosity and cloud point of the formula, improves the low-temperature stability and transparency of the product, and makes various ingredients more easily soluble in water.

Used in the formulation of commercial/industrial cleaning agents, hard surface cleaners, and multi-enzyme/low-foaming cleaning agents used in hospitals. It can be used as an additive in the pretreatment processes of textiles, such as desizing, scouring, bleaching, and mercerizing, helping in the rapid mercerization of raw cotton.
