1). HEPES (4-hydroxyethylpiperazine ethanesulfonic acid) is a non-ionic amphoteric buffer, which is highly polar and is inert to a variety of chemical reagents and enzymes. It does not participate in and does not interfere with the process of\u00a0 biochemical reactions. There is no inhibitory effect on chemical reactions, so it can be specially used for research on organelles and extremely volatile and pH-sensitive proteins and enzymes.<\/h4>\n
