Recheck after deliberate removal of the suspected source.<\/p>\n<h2>Use WD-D547 when substrate reach fails<\/h2>\n<p>WD-D547 supports wetting and spreading across UV, solvent, solvent-free and water systems at 0.1\u20130.5%. It also carries leveling, anti-crater, recoat and defoaming claims, but its public varnish-transparency score is only 1 of 5.<\/p>\n<p>For a clear UV coating, clarity and haze are mandatory gates. Measure wetting, craters, gloss, haze, cure, adhesion, slip and recoat rather than accepting broad benefit labels.<\/p>\n<h2>Use LA-D559 for UV flow-out<\/h2>\n<p>LA-D559 is explicitly positioned for UV cure and contains an OH-functional ABA silicone structure. The page describes a reactive group but does not publish equivalent value or a specific network-incorporation calculation. Do not assume a universal reaction mechanism.<\/p>\n<p>Below 20\u00b0C the product may become hazy and viscous; the page says warming restores clarity and flow without affecting quality. Standardize product temperature, incorporation and film conditioning during the dosage ladder.<\/p>\n<h2>Use FS-D9013R for persistent crater pressure<\/h2>\n<p>FS-D9013R is a fluorocarbon copolymer solution with anti-crater, long-wave leveling and fast-leveling positioning, including systems where silicone additives cannot be used. It must be diluted with a suitable solvent.<\/p>\n<p>The page explicitly excludes UV vacuum-electroplating primer because recoat can be affected. Keep that exclusion visible, and test recoat even in other applications rather than treating \u201ccould recoating\u201d as a guarantee.<\/p>\n<h2>Why D8975BR and D8980 are second-stage routes<\/h2>\n<p>Both fluorocarbon pages support solvent\/UV long-wave leveling and orange-peel control at 0.05\u20130.8%, but their recommendation tables show slip 5\/5 and defoaming only 2\/5, with text stating no foam inhibition. They belong only after the first defect and downstream slip\/recoat requirements are defined.<\/p>\n<h2>Measure cure separately from appearance<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/store.astm.org\/d5402-19r24.html\">ASTM D5402<\/a> uses solvent rubs to assess solvent resistance of curing coatings, but solvent resistance alone does not prove full cure. <a href=\"https:\/\/store.astm.org\/standards\/d3359\">ASTM D3359<\/a> is a limited tape-adhesion rating whose substrate and film-thickness limits must be respected. <a href=\"https:\/\/store.astm.org\/standards\/d823\">ASTM D823<\/a> supports uniform film preparation for comparative coating tests.<\/p>\n<p>Report gloss\/haze, orange peel, crater count, cure, adhesion failure, solvent rub, slip, recoat, blocking and weathering after identical conditioning. For transparent systems, include transmission or haze rather than visual judgment alone.<\/p>\n<p>Photograph panels under fixed directional lighting and record location-dependent defects.
