L'HEPES (acide 4-hydroxy\u00e9thylpip\u00e9razine \u00e9thanesulfonique) est un tampon amphot\u00e8re non ionique, hautement polaire et inerte pour une vari\u00e9t\u00e9 de r\u00e9actifs chimiques et d'enzymes. Il ne participe pas et n'interf\u00e8re pas avec le processus des r\u00e9actions biochimiques. Il n'a pas d'effet inhibiteur sur les r\u00e9actions chimiques et peut donc \u00eatre utilis\u00e9 sp\u00e9cialement pour la recherche sur les organites et les prot\u00e9ines et enzymes extr\u00eamement volatiles et sensibles au pH.<\/h4>\n
