UV-2908 Application scenarios
1. 🌱 Polyolefin Plastics
Various products made from polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE), such as pipes, plastic containers, sheets, gardening products, and marine components.
Function & Description:
This is its most classic and primary application area. It effectively prevents plastics from becoming brittle, fading, and degrading in performance due to UV radiation during outdoor use.
2. 🔧 Various Polymer Materials
Thermoplastic polyolefins (TPO), flexible polyvinyl chloride (PVC), ABS resin, epoxy resin, unsaturated polyester, etc.
Function & Description:
With good compatibility and low migration, it can be extended to a wider range of polymers, providing light stabilization protection.
3. 🎨 Coatings and Inks
Various protective coatings, decorative coatings, and inks requiring weather resistance.
Function & Description:
It can inhibit photo-induced discoloration of coatings and printed materials, significantly improving color durability and fastness.
4. 🍽️ Food Contact Materials
Used in the production of food packaging materials (such as polyolefin packaging) that comply with regulations.
Function & Description:
This substance is listed on the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) list of food contact substances (21 CFR 178.2010), allowing its use in food contact materials under specific conditions.
5. 🧪 Composite Stabilization Systems
Used in combination with hindered amine light stabilizers (HALS), benzophenone UV absorbers, or phosphite antioxidants.
Function & Description:
It is often used as a key component in stabilization systems, creating a “synergistic effect” with other additives to provide more comprehensive (processing and long-term use) thermal oxidation and photo-oxidation protection.
