Weichmacher machen PVC-Materialien weich und leicht verarbeitbar und sind in der Kunststoffproduktion weit verbreitet. Auf Phthalat-Weichmacher entfallen 85% des gesamten Weichmachermarktes. In Anbetracht der Toxizit\u00e4t ist die Anwendung von o-Phthalat-Weichmachern begrenzt, und die biobasierte Weichmacherindustrie hat begonnen, den Markt zu erschlie\u00dfen.<\/p>\n
