1. Kunststoffindustrie
• Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) products:
Such as films, pipes, sheets, and profiles, improving their outdoor weather resistance and preventing discoloration and embrittlement.
• Polyester (PET, PBT, etc.) products:
Including fibers, films, and bottles, delaying the photodegradation of polyester materials and extending their service life.
• Polystyrene (PS) and styrene copolymers (such as ABS resin):
Used in various home appliance casings, daily necessities, toys, etc., maintaining the stability of the product’s appearance and mechanical properties.
• Polycarbonate (PC), polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA, acrylic glass):
Suitable for transparent sheets, lampshades, optical components, etc., providing UV protection without affecting transparency.
• Other plastics:
Such as polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), epoxy resin, unsaturated polyester resin, cellulose resin, etc., suitable for colorless and light-colored products.
• Fiber and textile field:
Used in the spinning process of synthetic fibers such as polyester fibers and polyacrylonitrile fibers, or as a finishing agent, improving the UV resistance of textiles and reducing fading and strength loss caused by sunlight exposure, especially suitable for outdoor clothing, sunshade fabrics, tent fabrics, etc.
2. Coatings and Adhesives Industry
• Coatings:
Added to acrylic resin coatings, polyurethane coatings, epoxy resin coatings, etc., used in automotive paints, building exterior wall coatings, wood coatings, etc., protecting the coating and substrate from UV damage, extending the service life of the coating, and maintaining vibrant colors.
• Adhesives:
Used in various polymer adhesives, such as epoxy adhesives and acrylate adhesives, preventing the reduction of bonding strength and durability due to UV aging when the adhesive is used outdoors.
• Elastomers and composite materials:
Used in rubber, thermoplastic elastomers, etc., as well as wood-plastic composite materials (such as wood/PVC composite panels), improving the weather resistance of the materials, making them less prone to aging and cracking in outdoor environments.
• Cosmetics field:
Used as a UV absorber in sunscreens and other cosmetic products to absorb ultraviolet radiation and protect the skin from UV damage.
• Other applications:
Used in specialized fields such as microstereolithography and shape memory alloy preparation, acting as a UV stabilizer to protect the stability of related materials during processing and use.
