Anwendungsszenarien
1. Enteric Coating Agent:
This is the most important application of HPMCP. It remains stable and insoluble in the acidic environment of the stomach, thus protecting the drug or preventing gastric irritation. When the preparation enters the small intestine (where the pH is typically ≥5.0-5.5), it dissolves rapidly and releases the drug.
2. Controlled-Release Material for Sustained-Release Preparations:
Due to its pH-dependent solubility, HPMCP can be used to design sustained-release systems that release drugs in different parts of the intestine, extending the duration of drug action.
3. Masking Unpleasant Drug Taste:
By utilizing its insolubility in the mouth (neutral pH), coating tablets or granules with HPMCP can effectively mask the bitter or unpleasant taste of the drug.
4. Binder in Pharmaceutical Preparations:
It can be used as a binder in the preparation of tablets or granules.
5. Film-Forming Material for Microcapsules:
It is used to encapsulate active ingredients in the preparation of microcapsule formulations.
