Product Overview
CHLUMICRYL® WPU-1158 is intended for coatings in which a soft touch and extensibility are important to the final article. The anionic aliphatic dispersion has a stated 100% modulus of 0.8-1.2 MPa and elongation at break of at least 800%. It is suitable for screening as the film-forming binder in printing pastes, waterborne leather finishes and treatments for elastic substrates. Its pH of 6-8 and viscosity of 100-1000 mPa·s should be considered when selecting pigments, additives and application rheology. Evaluate the complete formulation for adhesion, feel and appearance after drying.

Formulation and Handling
Establish compatibility with pigments, fillers and additives in a trial batch.
Adjust application rheology and verify adhesion and feel on the intended substrate.
- Film softness and extension must be evaluated in the finished formulation.
Check binder compatibility, substrate preparation, application conditions and final coating or bond performance in your own formulation. Waterborne use does not by itself establish solvent-free status or a hazard classification. Consult the current safety data sheet and use appropriate industrial handling controls.
Verpackung und Lagerung
50 kg or 120 kg plastic drums.
Store at 5-30 °C in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place. Protect from freezing and light. Stated shelf life: 12 months under these conditions.
