Photoinitiator 550 Application scenarios
1. Canned Food Coatings
This is one of its typical applications. Cationic curing coatings offer excellent adhesion and chemical resistance, making them ideal for coating the inner and outer surfaces of food and beverage cans.
2. Coil Coatings
Used for pre-coating metal coils (such as color-coated steel sheets). They exhibit low shrinkage after curing and strong adhesion, suitable for high-speed coating production lines.
3. Pharmaceutical Packaging Coatings
Used on packaging materials like blister packs and bottle caps, requiring pure, low-odor coatings with excellent barrier properties and safety.
4. Printing Inks and Overprint Varnishes
Particularly suitable for colored systems (e.g., white inks) as it resists deactivation by pigment “shielding.” Also used in high-gloss, scratch-resistant topcoat varnishes.
5. Epoxy Resin Systems
Demonstrates high initiation activity in epoxy resin photopolymerization, enabling the production of high-performance composites or adhesives.
