DMBA Waterborne PU Chain Extender & Internal Emulsifier
CHLUMICURE® DMBA, CAS 10097-02-6. DMBA (dimethylolbutyric acid) is a hydroxyl- and carboxyl-functional material used as a hydrophilic chain extender and internal emulsifier for waterborne polyurethane systems.

Applications

Grade Selection and Processing
Select DMBA for its role in the waterborne resin design, not as an interchangeable substitute for an aromatic amine elastomer curative. Confirm dissolution, incorporation and neutralization requirements in the actual formulation. Any replacement of DMPA requires a formulation review and testing.
